This commercial didn’t impress me much when I first saw the screencap so I never pressed play. The animation as clever as it is, just doesn’t seem as polished or detailed as it should be. Perhaps it is the pattern work that cheapens it, I don’t know. It just looks like a 3D animation done in the late ’90s. However, the subject matter and events that unfold are hilarious.
See what I mean? I know youtube is not the pillar of quality, but you can watch a higher quality Quicktime version here. I still think it lacks something. Maybe it is texture or lighting? The UPS ads are similar but they have lighting effects & some textures.
