How cool is that damn thing? These guys make it look so easy, I want one! Of course, I’d have an easier time growing beets than dropping beats. I have no musical talent whatsoever.

You think it is easy to be a snarky blogger? Sitting around, passing judgment on others and being mean is fairly simple, I’ll admit. However, sometimes there’s a fork in the road. Yes I can take some shots at these people, yet then I am contributing to their 15 minutes. Despite laughing and making fun of them, I am still helping to spread their material.

This was one of those times where I decided to post it, yet I question if it is the right thing to do.

Here’s the thing, YOU CAN’T RAP!

Just because you can rhyme, hold a microphone sideways and shove you hand in the air aggressively does not make you a rapper. You can videotape yourself having sex and that does not make you a porn star, try it and you’ll see. You need talent, which is a magical ingredient that cannot be learned whether you are a rapper or a porn star.

I couldn’t even watch the whole thing. I also love that the technical crew (all of who went to broadcasting school to be on air talent so they neglected to study anything else but sitting in front of a camera) decides that since this is a ‘music act’ the lights on the set should flicker? Creative lighting for sure.

“We watch a lot of rap at our house because I got kids & you’re not dressed like rappers.” Nice segue. What the hell channel still plays music videos? “Watch a lot of rap.” Yeah, I listen to a lot of dance concerts myself.
