Ninja Unboxing
Posted by Chris on Wednesday, January 27, 2010

I have featured a couple Patrick Boivin pieces. This time he helps plug the new Google phone.

Thanks to pfmonaco

Those poor gadget freaks who love unboxing videos are going to cry when they see the ninjas destroy the box.

Sikkdays Rocks Baked Goods Like a Hurricane
Posted by Chris on Thursday, November 20, 2008

I was stalking one of my…I mean reading a friend’s blog, Life’s Mystery, when I noticed my name in the recent comments list.  Being narcissistic, or more accurately, curious what one of my other personalities wrote, I clicked on my name.  I read the terribly unwitty remark and then I hovered the mouse over my name wondering what my unmedicated personality left as a link.  It turns out my friend’s blog has a fancy something or other called Snap Shots, check it out:

I became fascinated with the ad links that it came up with about SikkdaysBattlestar, Adult Swim, Aqua Teen are fair and make sense.  Kool-aid?  Well, I do recall I that I might have posted a video from Family Guy or Robot Chicken that featured Kool-aid Man, but I only came to that conclusion because of the Adult Swim link.  Scorpions really flew me for a loop.  Regardless of the party of personalities in my brain, I doubt any of them have a strong love for the ScorpionsBaked Goods are delicious, and I am fat, but if you’ve ever been to this site before you know I don’t exactly share recipes.

Thus, rather than sleeping I decided to fire up the search button and see what I get.  It turns out that Adult Swim Sunday is the culprit for the Scorpions, specifically this post here, scroll down.  Interestingly enough, that is the same post that contains Kool-aid Man too.  I found my post on Cake Wrecks was the guilty party when I searched Baked Goods.

Mystery solved.  I’ve added my friend’s blog, Life’s Mystery to the sidebar here at Sikkdays, along with pfmonaco.  Who, coincidentally, seems to be enjoying marketing links as much as me.  Check this out.

You want me to add your link to my site?  Let me know, I am desperate for friends.  And by desperate, I mean the stay at your house overnight after a party and wake up the next day and ask you ‘what do you want to do today?’, desperate.

Twitter Whore
Posted by Chris on Sunday, July 6, 2008

Add this to the list of sites that get more hits than sikkdays.  istwitterdown.com

fail whale

Yes, I have a problem, I love me some twitter.   I don’t know about you, but sometimes I just don’t trust my connection.  Y’know, you try to open a page and it doesn’t work so you try to go to another site just to make sure everything is working; if the other site works it must be a problem on the server end with the first site.

Well, apparently that wasn’t good enough for someone, so he made a site that simply displays “yes” or “no”  to answer that ever popular question, “Is twitter down?”

Thanks to fellow tweeter pfmonaco for the link in one of his tweets.

Singsnap.com, Karaoke without Leaving the House
Posted by Chris on Saturday, June 14, 2008

Karaoke online, yes I never knew there was such a thing until pfmonaco dropped a link on Twitter. It was bound to happen, it just never crossed my mind because I can’t sing. There’s proof below, sorry. I could make excuses like I couldn’t perform “ice, ice baby,” “And when I die(Blood, Sweat & Tears),” or “Just a Jigalo,” my practiced karaoke mainstays because they weren’t available in my region, whatever that means. Instead, it is just more honest to say that I cannot sing.

The simplicity of Apple’s internal camera and mic made things rather difficult because OSX has no mixer to adjust the song and your mic mix. I spent more time on a solution for this geekery than I did practicing my song. In fact that was probably more fun than singing the song.

Last chance, you can skip this one and move on to the next video by pfmonaco, because it rocks!

Want to see how it is really done? I give you pfmonaco! Great job, really!
