I nervously clicked on this one. So many people in college made these cheesy action films filled with gun-play that I find them terribly boring and uncreative. However, this wasn’t so bad.

Addicting Basketball Game

Looks boring, but this physics-based basketball game is sort of fun. And by fun, I mean anything to distract you from your mounting credit card debt and endless fights you have with the person you chose to be monogamous with. I played it to the point of frustration and then I found that you can have group tournaments. So, welcome to the Sikkdays.com Basketball League. Click this link and give yourself a name: http://www.onlinegames.com/basketball/?a0vw6tnfy2 If the group doesn’t show sikkdaysleague, click on the box on the right(that most likely says Global), choose New Group and add that URL above.

Yesterday when I found the game, I could not join any groups or create one, so it may be sketchy. When it does work, bring it on!

It’s cool because you can play anytime.

Tales of Mere Existence: “God”

Lev has always entertained me with his Tales of Mere Existence videos.

I swear I have posted previous videos by Lev Yilmaz, but I may have taken them down as they were pulled from youtube. Click the video above to watch more. Procrastination is good, Horny is funny, but of course my favorite is How to Break Up.

Can it be done?

The question that puts man in jeopardy every time.

A Hot Wheels car can do it, so why not an actual automobile?

36 miles per hour? It sounds scary, but it makes sense after their explanation.

I also remember learning that stunt driving schools teach people to break through barricades (fences, road blocks, etc) at around 35mph. They typically speed up the footage in movie and TV shows. If you hit a barrier going 50mph, 70mph or more you are just going to damage the car to the point that it isn’t drivable.

Tarboy
Posted by Chris on Wednesday, November 11, 2009

I can be a harsh critic. It is especially easy when I don’t ever create any animation of my own. If I don’t try, I can’t fail, right?

Anyway, I am somewhat impressed by this piece. Though, it has a real Flash feel to it which gets old to me. All things in Flash have a certain look to them. Honestly, this may not have been done in Flash, but it feels like it nonetheless. At times this piece feels like some of the annoying Adult Swim stuff where there is practically no animation just an eye blink or an arm move. However, at other times Tarboy seems pretty fluid.

The music absolutely makes this animation. It is great. Some of the styling and transitions are pretty imaginative too.

This is an interesting concept if you have an extra room you aren’t using.

It is part stop motion, part flip book and just plain crazy, really.
