When I had a dog I would take her out for a hike in the woods at least twice a week. I swear she peed in the same spots every time. I thought she was journaling, “Day 34: Again, I was denied chocolate this morning. I am convinced the humans are withholding the mysterious treat from me because it holds the key to freedom. Imagine, being your own master? Ouch! Damn leash….gotta go.”

Of course, it is probably more like, “I RODE IN THE CAR! I RODE IN THE CAR!”

I took Billiards as my gym class in college. My instructor started off the class saying that all college courses were required to have a book by law or rule of the institution. He then added that the book for his class was very helpful, but as college kids, if we needed the money, he’d understand if we took it back. The class was taught at the local bowling alley, so at 10am on Fridays we shot pool, had the occasional beer and earned a college credit.

This is freakin’ amazing. Apparently the first animal shot into space was a Russian dog named Laika. A bar in Montreal is named after this pup and they had Guillaume Blanchet make them a groovy video for their 10 year anniversary.

This piece was produced by a company called Nomint for the Greek Design & Illustration Awards this year. From what I can find, it is called “Intelligent Design” and it is weirdly fun. Go here to watch it or click the screencap which is no clue to the surreal mess of a video. Why didn’t I put the video on sikkdays? You can debate in the comments if it was out of laziness or my conscience stopping me from borrowing the video.

Very cool stop-motion piece that is a great mix of animation and behind the scenes, along with a catchy tune.

Is this all men are good for? Snuggling? It is intersting that this product isn’t focused on the baseless desire for sex like a vibrator or pocket vagina. This product seems to be about the emotional side of women, yet it is a lifeless pillow. Somehow, I don’t think it will do the trick. Get a dog for an emotional connection or a cat if you’d like better simulation as cats are moody and want your attention sometimes and other times couldn’t give a damn.
