Like kittehs, but creepy.

Unless this is yer first time around the internet, you know about the Cheeseburger phenomenon. Ye know, lolcats. If not, and you came here first, I call ‘fibber!’

The thing is, it’s not just cats, walruses and the like; there’s a whole network of the damn things, from cute animals and babies (an oxymoron in my book) to annoying celebs and socially inept folk. Okay, okay, here’s a link to the whole damn lot, then…

Of course, with everything being as it is, no sooner does something become a ‘phenomenon’, but there will be parodies, tributes and outright rip-offs galore all suddenly jockeying fer position in the limelight. With that in mind, take a gander at these and see if ye can spot the theme…

Yeah. It’s not rocket science, is it? Oh, and many apologies if yer one of those that’s arachnophobic. If yer not, then why not swing over to ROFLSpiders and bask in the creepy sarcasm of a new site in its early days.

So, I was going through the Stuckey & Murray videos after watching them sing the TV Drama Song and I found this gem.

The Onion News – Some B.S. Happening Somewhere
Posted by Chris on Monday, March 22, 2010

I caught this piece while listening to Only Hearsay Episode #10, which was an excellent episode of the weekly podcast. The Onion takes aim at the very thing I hate about news, the hype over absolutely nothing.

Google Wave Cyber Sex
Posted by Chris on Saturday, March 6, 2010

Actually, Google Wave is so buggy it would probably represent marriage much better-missed communications, lag and ability to edit other peoples words.

Sure Google Wave does have potential for projects that require a collaboration of individuals, but it was very buggy when I was using it. I understand it is beta, but I just couldn’t handle it. That experience definitely kept me from trying Google Buzz. From those nifty boxes on blog posts, I can see I am not alone. All the Buzz counts are at zero.

Jonah Hill is a Fat Jason Bateman
Posted by Chris on Friday, February 5, 2010

John C. Reilly is funny. Jonah Hill just doesn’t do it for me though. This Cyrus movie looks like one of those hip, wanna-be awkward on purpose independent films. If your sick of that genre you can watch the television show It’s Your Move from the 80s. The television show has the same plot with a young Jason Bateman and is probably funnier.

Wes Anderson’s Spider-Man

I spotted this last night, but I didn’t get around to sharing until now. Mind blowing, I’ll never look at his movies the same again.

Set the Wii Remote Down

Remember that great gag in Naked Gun where Leslie Nielsen goes into the men’s room with his mic on? Welcome to the next generation of the gag. NSFW subject wise.
