It’s always good to check in on ParryGripp.com and see what is new. Loads of fun stuff, but I can’t resist adding the most recent because I love me some nachos.

I’m on a Mac
Posted by Chris on Monday, December 28, 2009

While it is true that I use Apple’s OS, I am not a fanboy. I prefer it over Windows for everyday use, but I will use whatever is necessary to get a job done.

I can’t swear fanboy allegiance to Macs because I simply can’t think of one Mac user that hasn’t had a hardware issue of some kind, from iPod to desktop. Thus, they are no better than any of the crappy PC manufacturers. Of course without Apple fanboys, there would be no such thing as a Microsoft fanboy. Seems to be the only time people come out of the woodwork to defend Microsoft is when some douchebag does something like this:

Owning a Mac is like being an atheist for me. I don’t want to admit it because I’ll be persecuted. Smug, obnoxious people who will probably make this song their ringer on the iPhone make regular users like me look bad.

If you like the song, maybe you’ll like their other video, Mac or PC.

Fruitless Efforts: Fruit of the Womb
Posted by Chris on Monday, October 12, 2009

You think the tree is messed up for growing three different fruits? Watch the animation, it gets freakier. Bizarrely entertaining to be sure.

Ice-T & Data Security
Posted by Chris on Monday, August 10, 2009

via gizmodo

I expected the comments on the youtube page to be more angry and whiny but I guess those cult of Mac people who drink the kool-aid don’t go to youtube because there is no Quicktime option.

I find it funny that Ice-T was on one of those Law & Order shows (Law & Order: Dairy Edition?), yet he thinks hitting a hard drive with a hammer will stop his data from being recovered.

Apple No Longer Cool?
Posted by Chris on Tuesday, December 23, 2008

Wired has a new, lil’ article called, 8 Signs That Apple Customers Are No Longer Special.  Enjoy, I found it to be on target for the most part, but I am not a fanboy cult member either, just a mac user.

Wheel in the Sky

wheel in the sky

So there’s been this damn college humor video on every site that I go to, the Matrix Runs on Windows.  It is a decent parody, but it is beyond viral in just 2 days, geesh. For all my Mac brethren, I ran into The Marble of Doom.   The idea is to log when your Mac freezes up with the spinning wheel of death and what application froze.  Of course, that will be a bit difficult to do when your OS if fucking frozen, no?

Anyway, check out the site if you’ve never been there, though currently the most offensive application is FireFox, so you may have trouble visiting the site.

Psystar Easily Trumps Apple’s Last Announcement
Posted by Chris on Thursday, October 30, 2008

magic

The writing is all over the web, engadget, mac user, technorati and I read the story at iheartchaos.  Choose your poison and check it out.  Psystar has announced they will offer OS X-capable machines with built-in Blu-ray and NVIDIA’s GeForce 9800GT.  That’s right, if Apple isn’t going to man up and give their customers what they’ve been demanding, Psystar will.

Apple filed suit against Psystar for copyright infringement because Psystar started selling Hackintosh computers, or Open Computers with OS X installed.  Psystar is countersuing Apple for anti competitive business practices, monopolistic behavior, and copyright misuse.  Thus, while all this lawsuit stuff is pending, they decided to go ahead and trump Apple with this latest announcement.
