(I really want to animate this, as that is how I imagined it. Yet, I wrote it down fearing it may be something I never get time to do.)
Bacon boy was startled awake on sikkday's profile page by a menacing metallic scratching noise. He leapt out of his picture and bounced down to the recent events. Suddenly, the noise squelched to his right. Bacon boy bounced over to the badges and grabbed the Indie Badge to hide behind. He stretched out to grab the mouse pointer for a weapon.
The source of the terrifying noise appeared.
There, before Bacon Boy was the meanest, nastiest 503 Service Unavailable Error he had ever seen. The monstrous beast was devouring his page on the Nethernet.
He thought about making a dash for his arsenal, but he was afraid any sudden move would get him noticed. Bacon Boy slowly squirmed to his contacts. He used the mouse pointer to click on sobekneferu's avatar. She poked her head into sikkday's half eaten profile to see Bacon Boy shivering like he was being fried. At once, sobe's avatar pulled out her trusty pocket watch and created a portal.
The Indie badge clunked against the device and fell to the bottom of the page and rattled around in a circle as Bacon Boy and the portal disappeared.
The glowing vortex spit Bacon Boy out onto hollowleviathan's profile. It was still in tact!
ARMOR!
Before he could explain the situation to hollow's avatar, the beast was on top of hollow's badges, munching away. Without saying a word hollow's avatar hopped down from his perch, shoved Bacon Boy aside and stood his ground. The curious pixels of his avatar flipped from green to the bright golden armor of a bedouin. He was too late. bunni3burn's avatar had swallowed her bacon cigar and jumped down from hollow's contact right onto the 503 monster. Not to be left out hollowleviathan's avatar charged them both, pushing them right off the profile.
Bacon Boy closed his eyes and grimaced as he listened to the sound of clanking and then crumpling metal.
Then, no sound.
He opened his eyes to see a lone dented helmet roll towards him.
Bacon Boy threw himself up to the menu choice "You" on hollow's profile and used the mouse pointer to select "Missions." He scrambled to the players who had taken the mission and warned them about the 503 monster. There was a dark square that did not respond. It was mortmer. Concerned, Bacon Boy clicked on his name to be taken to mort's profile.
Darkness.
Bacon Boy squirmed left, he bumped into something. It fell with a clunk and a crash.
Lightposts.
He reached out and moved his way through more posts. This was getting him no where.
Bacon Boy used the mouse pointer to click where he thought one of the lamps were. Slowly the lamp came alive. He grabbed the post and swung it around. As he assumed he was in mortmer's cavernous arsenal. He saw the path to mort's profile and made his way there.
Darkness.
Had mort already fallen victim to...BOOM!
What was that?
BOOM!
Bacon Boy dashed forward to flee the exploding lightpost. He stopped and listened.
Was that? It sounds like laughing
He slowly creeped forward.
BOO!
Bacon Boy almost jumped right out of his fat when Deadpool poked out of mort's contacts. Bacon Boy told shyiskhar's avatar about the beast that was eating the Nethernet. Acting more or less concerned, shy's avatar suggested mines.
Like this.
Bacon Boy looked at the mine that was just handed to him. Suddenly it blinked.
BOOM!
Deadpool snickered as Bacon Boy stood there smoldering.
A roar from the distance prevented Bacon Boy from shouting at shy's avatar. Instead he shot upward and clicked the Guide menu with the crispy mouse pointer and selected "How to Play." Bacon Boy swished down the page and selected "Lore." Deadpool had given him an idea.
Bacon Boy quickly clicked on "The 12 Year Civil War" before the page finished loading.
He surveyed the scene, thousands of mines piled up for a leaping benefactor. This would surely stop the 503 beast.
Bacon Boy stood in front of the pile and waited.
Sure enough the angry monster was in tow and it was even bigger than before.
Bacon Boy gripped the mouse pointer. Once the monster made its move, he would leap pointer first toward one of the other story links.
He wasn't as quick as he had hoped.
The monster dove at him with speed and agility. Bacon Boy managed to get out of the way, but the mines exploded instantly. Bacon Boy went spinning in the air. He held the mouse pointer out hoping to hit something, anything.
click.
Bacon Boy twirled through smoke and fire and landed with a thud.
At once he realized he must have hit Refresh on Firefox.
He coughed and forced himself to try and stand. All he could see was smoke and flames.
Did it work?
To his left was the answer. A large section of the page was dark, but not ablaze. The darkness started moving towards him. Now, he could see flames behind the darkness right at its center. He was looking through the zero of "503." Black and charred it was making its way toward Bacon Boy.
Now what?
