Check out more pictures over at io9.com. Basically Richard Box stuck these fluorescent tubes into the ground underneath the power lines. That’s it kids. No Photoshop trickery, just the electric field under the power lines that your grandma and mother warned you to stay away from for years. Box says he just thought it would be amazing “taking something that’s invisible and making it visible.” However to me and many others, it looks sort of scary to imagine that electrical field dancing around a farm like that.
