DJEarworm – Annie Lennox
Posted by Chris on Friday, July 31, 2009

I’ve enjoyed some of DJEarworm‘s stuff but never enough to post it here. Either I don’t recognize the original material because it has been so well mixed or I don’t know the original material at all. According to the post on boingboing, Annie Lennox gave her masters to DJEarworm for this one.

Invent D&AD Student Awards Short
Posted by Chris on Thursday, July 30, 2009

So this is a phenomenal achievement by students Tom Wigglesworth & Matt Robinson. Seriously, I have wrestled a lot of printers in my day. To the point, I don’t even own one. The piece was put together for a D&AD, which has an awful logo for an organization concerned with design.

I just hate printers, probably because I have always been the guy you call when something goes wrong with your computer. I hope these dudes used stop motion for most of this, I surely wouldn’t trust the printers to behave that well.

Tomas by James Palumbo
Posted by Chris on Thursday, July 30, 2009

This book sounds crazy.
From the BBC:

In 1991, James Palumbo co-founded the Ministry of Sound club in south London. Over the past 18 years, the brand has grown into the multi-million pound business MSHK, encompassing a record label, radio and TV stations and a soon-to-be-released fashion label. Now Palumbo has turned his hand to being an author.

His first novel, Tomas, is a biting satire in which the reluctant star of an absurdly low-brow reality TV show goes on a killing spree, mowing down the grotesque patrons of an exclusive club in the French Riviera. In the ensuing media frenzy, Tomas becomes a messianic figure, enlisting the help of a beautiful prostitute, an elderly judge, an alcoholic journalist, a spherical alien and the Emperor Napoleon.

Publishing companies keep producing trailers for books, which is like using cocaine to get someone hooked on alcohol, but with a description like the one above you want to watch these trailers. NSFW Read the rest of this entry »

Eat Real. Eat Local.

Silly Canadians trying to come up with non military solutions to problems.

Look Canada, you are an import junkie just like the United States, all you care about is your next fix of oil, food and cheap electronics. You don’t have time for farming, you’re too busy dry humping your iPhones and cruising around town in SUVs.

Magneto vs Jesus – Prisoner
Posted by Chris on Wednesday, July 29, 2009

Honestly, I have never heard of the original series called The Prisoner until reading about the remake on io9.com. AMC is making the new miniseries and I really enjoy Breaking Bad, so I will definitely give this show a chance. It stars Ian McKellen and Jim Caviezel.

@lynnflynn dropped this on me because she thought I would like it. Put your sunglasses on and observe.

You didn’t dance did you? I feel sorry for your soul.
