I Like Juicy

iljbuttonThis post is all about ORANGE. My eyes are burning! This episode is all about microphone placement. Listen here.

Reminisce about the Main St. Pub in Kalamazoo located on, well, Main Street with @raislak.

@teenydvl ensures that poo enters the conversation, as usual.

I brought a mysterious guest who is not a tweep and @pauld is in the button  business(see left).

We recount movies, tv shows and sketch comedy scenes for you minus all that video mess.

As a group we have defined ‘Yak Style,’ Buffalo Style’s bastard cousin.

Eric Bana makes a surprise appearance…in our memories.

And if our mystery guest is interested in starting a twitter account, @yakstyle and @stinkystarfish are both available…

Perhaps he’d like @RhymezWitTerminator. Archives here.

Wood
Posted by Chris on Wednesday, May 27, 2009

This is a music video for The Dead Pirates’ song, “Wood.” Mcbess & Simon Landrein, graduates of Supinfocom, made the video for Mcbess’ band. It has been making the rounds of creative social networks and animation blogs. It’s very stylistic with a nod to the older cartoons. There’s a bit of NSFW visuals toward the end also. If the music is your thing, it is a free download on his site.

Cleveland Is Not Detroit
Posted by Chris on Wednesday, May 27, 2009

That’s not saying much. Though, I think that is the point of this faux tourism promo vid.

“our economy’s based on Lebron James”

That poses the question, what sort of monument to modern industry could the build in Cleveland to make a name for itself with that big baby’s salary? Hmm…Perhaps a future blog post.

The Hey Days of Margarine
Posted by Chris on Tuesday, May 26, 2009

Before we learned that butter was a killer, it was a huge celebrity.  Thus, in order to knock it down a notch Margarine had to come up with some crazy ways to sway our tastes. I was thinking that I miss the old Parkay commercials, but my mother reminded me that Imperial had great commercials too. Have a look at the old days when butter & margarine weren’t blamed for all the heart problems of the world. What else would a fat guy blog about?

Apparently, Parkay is still making commercials with the talking tub, check it out with out-takes. Read the rest of this entry »

I Like Camel-flage
Posted by Chris on Sunday, May 24, 2009

tennis?

Listen here.

Where to begin…

A look at pictures you can’t see from guest @teenydvl‘s mom, the magic of iTunes’ ability to avoid any sort of logical organization and a discussion of competing podcasts. @raislak admits that the rest of a us are a figment of his imagination & @pauld balances out our salad orders with fried deliciousness and a stick of butter.

What else…

Correlation, a return to your youth with jokes about Helen Keller & Dolly Parton & Bizaro world’s version of I Like Juice.

Oh…

Also a discussion of the lovely photo pictured here.
