Oops, last week I didn’t make a post and I apologize. I got this job out of the blue, and well, I so want to tell you about the craziness and provide you with video, but I could get into some trouble for that. Anyway, we’re back this week!
Twist
Well, I am a total twitter whore and I have played with loads of applications and tools related to the service. However, methodshop introduced me to Twist. This service allows you to compare the usage of terms on twitter. For example, I chose to compare ‘science’ & ‘god’ in the graph below. I figured that would be fun since the inception of ohmyscience.org, that I discussed here.

Twubble
The other interesting tool that methodshop introduced me to was Twubble. This web magic has you login and then it finds people you may want to follow. Basically, it looks at all of the people you are following and then looks the people they are following. So, say 3 of your friends are following the same person Twubble displays the person’s name and lets you know who’s following them. I really like the Google link next to the name too, so you can go find out more about the individual.
Hellotxt
I have yet to try this little gem, but hellotxt allows you to update your status to a number of social networking sites, all at once. Update Twitter, Facebook, Plurk, friendfeed and many more all from one website. Thanks to PMOGer breanne for the find.
Spaz
A friend and a fellow PMOGer, djweso, pointed me toward Spaz. This is a twitter client that you can run to keep up with your friends and tweet without having your browser open. I have played with Twitterfox and Twitterrific also, but Spaz seems pretty damn cool because it is available for Mac, PC, and Linux. For the most part, however, I am perfectly happy with using Twitter in the browser.
