Net Neutrality & Your Politicians
Posted by Chris on Saturday, May 31, 2008

Recently Karl Rove responded to comments from Scott McClellan’s book on the show Hannity and Colmes by saying, “…this doesn’t sound like Scott. It really doesn’t. Not the Scott McClellan I have known for a long time…sounds like somebody else, it sounds like a left-wing blogger.”

Okay, forget the controversy about a book that doesn’t spell out anything new. The only surprise is that it is written by someone in Bush’s camp. Instead, look at the word choice by Rove. In particular, the phrase “left-wing blogger” scares me. Understand that this is how the Internet is viewed by politicians on the left and right. This phrase is not only being used to discredit McClellan, but bloggers and the Internet. Read the rest of this entry »

OLED Keyboard
Posted by Chris on Saturday, May 31, 2008

I can haz wun plez! I am sure there are several practical uses for this keyboard, but I can’t think of them right now. I just want shiny fun gadget to impress my friends, or rather make friends. Hell, I’d carry it in my pocket and pull it out when dudes try to front with their iPhones.

$1600 bones for this thing? You know how many tanks of gas I could put in my car for that much, oh bad example. Hey kids, I don’t think any keyboard is worth that much money or is there some small print somewhere that says it comes with a lifetime supply of beer and free memberships to every porn site known to man?

Cinemocracy.org
Posted by Chris on Friday, May 30, 2008

Get some traffic and videos over to cinemocracy.org! “The top 25 videos (as determined by public online voting) will be screened publicly during the week of the 2008 Democratic National Convention.” I dropped my experimental piece I did in college, Crude Appetite, on the site. Technically, the entrants are supposed to answer the question, “How do you define democracy?” However, many of the submitted pieces have taken creative freedom to submit other subject matter.

If you have something I would encourage you to enter, the site right now has a dozen or so entries, and it would seem that many of them are from the Denver area schools. From what it looks like, the most votes wins, so if you have a big enough address book you’ll win. As far as prizes go, the reward is having your voice heard, speaking up, participating and expressing yourself as an American. Okay, that was my positive comment for the year, back to being a cynical bastard.

The 4 of you should really go vote for me…

Vote for my video here.

Young Hillary
Posted by Chris on Friday, May 30, 2008

I am scared, I have never liked Jerry O’Connell. Yet, this is the second video of his I am posting. Though, I thought this first one would get him killed for making fun of the Scientologists. I guess they just ruined his career to the point that he is slumming it on youtube. Thanks again Jimbo62 for another good find.

Superfan Tattoos
Posted by Chris on Friday, May 30, 2008

So the other day on Twitter I said something like, I think porn stars get tattoos to express their individuality because we all know they can’t act.  I thought it might be funny to write a blog featuring porn star tattoos which are the only way you can tell one breast-augmented blond from another.  Though the research and photo search would be fun, laziness won and I set it aside for another day.

Then, I go to filmdrunk and see this post.   Entertainment Weekly has a gallery of famous faces tattooed on people.

Finally a tattoo I like

Speechless, I am

Michael Moore?  Seriously?  That looks like something you have a tattoo artist cover up.

Fetish? Come on Down!
Posted by Chris on Thursday, May 29, 2008

Seriously, is this some sort of new fetish?  I’m not into leather, I am into game show contestants surrounded by cheap effects and applause.

I found this on delicious’ top links for the day, the Top 8 Moments in Price is Right History.  If you have nothing better to do the worst player video makes you proud to be an American.

Halliburton is Dirty? No, Really?
Posted by Chris on Thursday, May 29, 2008

Here’s a fun story.  Apparently, “It was Halliburton’s secret sale of centrifuges to Iran that helped get the uranium enrichment program off the ground.”

This seems like the opposite of what we normally do.  Usually, we go to war with a country, blow a ton of shit up and then give them money and help them rebuild all the shit we blew up.  So, in Iran we gave them stuff to have an excuse to go in and blow them up?  Oh, right we did give it to them, we made them pay for it.  Instead of running around like a bully and telling everyone who we will allow to have nuclear capabilities, why don’t we just sell it to them.  We can be the worlds drug dealer.
