Here’s the deal, so you are in the know. There’s a scary commercial on the [adult swim] speaking of a marathon to say goodbye to Futurama. In fact, I am watching the aforementioned marathon as I type.

A quick search gave me some answers so I thought I’d pass them on to you. It seems that the syndication contract with [adult swim] has ended. Futurama is moving to Comedy Central. The rumors of new episodes were replaced with a feature length movie called Bender’s Big Score. However, multiple posts online say that Comedy Central will be getting new episodes in the form of season 5. Yet, Wikipedia says, “Bender’s Big Score and the three follow-up films will be turned into season five of Futurama on Comedy Central, each film comprising four episodes of the broadcast season.”

So, what have we learned? Fox is evil, constantly moving good shows to different nights so that it can’t possibly attract an audience. [adult swim] finds an audience, plays a show at a regular time, and is punished for a job well done. Strange? Me thinks so, when you consider that Family Guy was also resurrected by [as] and when the new season started, they got the new episodes too. Confused? I am.

In the spirit of the Holidays, the season is about the kids, after all, I decided to post this little gem. Enjoy. Add it your myspace, blog, whatever.

(So I was thinking the nice folks who run the thing have some evil ping back checking my site to ensure I have their lame-ass advertising underneath the badge. I deleted it and people weren’t able to see their results once they had filled it all out. I retook the test, added it again, with the advertisement and it still didn’t work. Then, I got angry and fixed it myself. Hopefully, it should work now.)

In the spirit of my Marmaduke Explained post, I thought I’d drop another strangely funny blog on y’all.
The “Blog” of “Unnecessary” Quotation Marks is a collection of photographs of signs with unnecessary quotes. That’s right, a triumph of the American Dream, anyone can start their own business and advertise with poorly designed signs, not just intelligent, educated folks. Sorry, I can’t help but be “cynical.”

Completely unrelated, user KuteyKat has started a quote-off in the forum, post your favorite, “sex” quote.  I started, a not so fun, one for, war.

A.V. Club has a list of the Worst Band Names of ’07 that I found very entertaining and maybe even inspiring.  Mixed among some of the lame ones are some really random combinations.  They may be bad band names, but they’d make some great after-school special titles or names for your pet gerbils.
